Apopka

The City of Apopka is located 12 miles northwest of Orlando. It encompasses an area slightly larger than 30 square miles. Apopka is an important hub of commerce. One of the fastest-growing cities in Orange County, it is home base to more than 31,000 citizens.

Apopka shares measurably in Florida's citrus industry. Farming also contributes greatly to the economy of the city. And the area boasts an abundance of excellent outdoor recreational activities, including bass fishing, golfing, hunting, swimming, boating, and water skiing. Three miles east of town is Wekiva Springs State Park. Its large area of unspoiled woodlands make it the largest park in Central Florida. The beautiful main springhead, where swimming and canoeing is enjoyed, bubbles up forty-eight million gallons of crystal clear water each day.
