Umatilla

Umatilla is a city in north Lake County, located about an hour northwest of Orlando. It was named after Umatilla, Oregon. As of 2004 estimates the city had a population of 2,502.

Umatilla, the Gateway to the Ocala National Forest, is rich in history and still has many working citrus groves. It offers many outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, camping and hiking.

The city is a growing, family oriented, rural community that fosters safe and wholesome living with a focus on education and recreation, while acknowledging the unique and historic ecosystem of its environment.
